Perseid Meteor Shower

Just a short drive out of Gypsum we found a pull off on the side of the road where there was zero hint of light pollution (not that there is much around here). We could see more stars than I have seen in a long time. There was no moon light and very little cloud cover. As soon as we stopped the car and turned off the headlights we started to see meteors. It was incredible. This was the first picture I took after getting set up.

I moved!

I recently relocated to the tiny little town of Gypsum, Colorado! I'm now about 30 minutes west of Avon and Beaver Creek where I work. It's a really fun place to be, and we have a nice apartment. I'm still settling in, but I'm happy to have nice new place for the winter.

Coffee Pot Road and Deep Lake

A couple of weeks ago we did a trip up Coffee Pot Rd to Deep Lake for the night. From there we stayed up in the Flat Tops and came out down in New Castle. It was a long but really fun trip.
