End of the Road Trip

Lake Tahoe, CA

Great Basin National Park, NV

Picked up the Jeep and all of our stuff in Colorado!

We are lucky the wheel didn't fall off the trailer when we were in Kentucky!

Being broke down did give us a little extra time to explore the Mammoth Cave National Park.

Of course we had to stop at the first KFC when we were in Kentucky...

And finally we made it to the Atlantic Ocean! We drove a grand total of 6,700 miles over the past 4 weeks and saw most of the United States. It has been a blast! Time to start our next big adventure in Richmond!

Road Trip Part 2 and more!

I was not very good about uploading pictures on the trip, so here they are! We made it from Zion to California, then all the way back to Colorado to pick up our stuff out of storage, finally hauling it all to Virginia.

Death Valley was my absolute favorite park we visited this trip. It felt like we were on a different planet. I really look forward to going back one day and exploring more of the area.

Next we went up to Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks.

Then just a short day hike in Yosemite!

We went to visit Kendra's family and friends in Sacramento...

which included a trip to Napa Valley!

We left the Sacramento area for a few days in Joshua Tree:

We started up the Pacific Coastal Highway and stopped to camp at Jalama Beach state park

Lots of kite surfing

We had to find a way to keep the 50+ mph winds and sand out of our pasta!

We saw lots of sea lions

We made it to San Francisco and went on a nice hike with cousin Beth and Burke!
If you look close you can see the Golden Gate Bride right in the middle of the picture and San Francisco to the left.

There will be more pictures in the next post, this one is getting a little too long and there a lots more to go!
